Sickness

This last month has been a tough one.  First I was sick with the flu when we had to travel back home from visiting my parents, then Samantha got the same flu, with Trevor following quickly afterwards.  Samantha had a fever off and on for a week.  Then as soon as she got better, Becca followed her up with her own fever, with a cough that had been hanging around for a while.  After 5 days of a fever Becca broke out in a rash all over her body.  After a trip to the ER we found out it's probably from her virus.  2 days later, she still has a rash, but it is much better and we're controlling it with medicine.

But despite all of that, and maybe even because of it, I can feel God more closely, and hear him more clearly, than I can remember.

Thank you, Father, for all of your protection, especially over this last month.  I can feel your presence and your love.  You are an awesome God and I will praise you all of my days!

Tap, Tap

Is anyone still there?

I felt like I needed a change on my blog, so we'll see how this goes.  I like it so far.

I would like to blog more, but I'm just not sure what I should be saying on here.  I was never good at journaling, or keeping a diary, but I think I'll still like to look back on here and see what was going on.  I'll try to work up the gumption to write an update.

Some more creations...

This is a blanket I made out of scraps I had, for Brooklyn, for her birthday.  She was pretty excited :)
This one I made for my niece.
 This was for my nephew.
And I made these slipper for my hubby.  His feet are always cold while he's working.  It gets pretty cold in our room with the door closed, so hopefully he'll like them.

Mystery Afghan and other stuff

I've been really bad lately.  Working on too many projects and not getting my pictures taken and posted.  But I am done all the squares.  I have started sewing them together.  I like how the seaming is coming and am looking forward to getting more done.

In other news, we have an allergy free child!!!  Praise the LORD!!!  Rebecca got her tests back and the were all negative!  At this point, the allergist said it is very unlikely that she is allergic to nuts.  Meaning, he believes the tests are negative!  So, he said we could do a challenge, depending on our comfort level.  We have a year to decide.  He doesn't think it's necessary, but medically it would be the next step.  So, we will wait and see where the Lord leads us.

Mystery Afghan #5

This square was a completely new concept to me.  It was worked along both natural edges to the blue corner.  These blocks will have to be blocked for sure!  We had to do 16 of them.  They were the most of any that we will have to do.  I really can't wait to see what it's going to look like all put together.  Also, go back and check out my square #3 because I did it in the wrong color originally and had to redo them.
